چکیده
Liquid fuels like dimethyl-ether (DME), produced from biomass and electricity are crucial for decarbonizing the shipping industry. In this work, production of DME wheat straw through gasification is presented. It was shown how process can be optimized by using 1) two-stage instead one-stage synthesis, 2) partial oxidation gas 3) a hydrogen quench high-temperature reverse water shift reactions. The investigation conducted stepwise introducing different steps, leading to investigating 14 plant layouts. This enabled systematic analysis influence steps looking at changes in carbon efficiency energy efficiency. all plants, bio-ash, which acts as soil amendment sink, were produced. 10 plants additionally high-quality bio-oil. showed that introduced measures increased plants. At same time, they net consumption. highest reached 57.5 %. A with 84.0 %.,while having consumption (45.2 MW input 50 (LHV)).

Application of Plackett Burman Design for Citric Acid Production from Pretreated and Untreated Wheat Straw
A solid state fermentation method was used to utilize wheat straw as substrates for citric acid production by using Aspergillus niger ATCC 9142. The Plackett Burman design (PBD) of experiments was used to test the relative importance of the variables affecting production such as moisture content, age of spore, inoculum size, initial pH of substrate, methanol conce...
متن کاملEthanol production from mixtures of wheat straw and wheat meal
BACKGROUND Bioethanol can be produced from sugar-rich, starch-rich (first generation; 1G) or lignocellulosic (second generation; 2G) raw materials. Integration of 2G ethanol with 1G could facilitate the introduction of the 2G technology. The capital cost per ton of fuel produced would be diminished and better utilization of the biomass can be achieved. It would, furthermore, decrease the energy...
متن کاملXylitol production from wheat straw hemicellulosic hydrolysate: hydrolysate detoxification and carbon source used for inoculum preparation
Wheat straw hemicellulosic hydrolysate was used for xylitol bioproduction. The use of a xylose-containing medium to grow the inoculum did not favor the production of xylitol in the hydrolysate, which was submitted to a previous detoxification treatment with 2.5% activated charcoal for optimized removal of inhibitory compounds.
متن کاملCombined production of bioethanol and biogas from wheat straw
Due to the problems with environment and green house gases more biofuels as bioethanol and biogas needs to be produced to reduce the problems. Wheat straw as raw material is a good choice for ethanol and biogas production since wheat is the most produced crop in Sweden and the whole Europe and it isn’t competitive to food. In this study three different options for pretreatment of wheat straw, c...
متن کاملBiohydrogen and carboxylic acids production from wheat straw hydrolysate.
Hydrolyzed wheat straw was converted into carboxylic acids and biohydrogen using digesting bacteria. The fermentations were carried out using both free and membrane-encased thermophilic bacteria (55°C) at various OLRs (4.42-17.95g COD/L.d), in semi-continuous conditions using one or two bioreactors in a series. The highest production of biohydrogen and acetic acid was achieved at an OLR of 4.42...
